Foundation Librije
The Foundation Librije Walburgiskerk Zutphen, founded in 1984, aims to preserve, manage and make accessible the upper and lower library (building, inventory and collection) in collaboration with other institutions connected to the Walburgiskerk and beyond.
These tasks also include security, training guides, opening hours, special projects and facilitating research. The regular maintenance is funded from the compensation that the foundation receives for this purpose from the Stichting Oude Gelderse Kerken. But for all other matters the foundation depends on donations. For (various) options to contribute, click Donate. The foundation has ANBI status.
Maintenance
The books are counted annually and checked (in their entirety) by an expert, after which a decision is made to restore them if necessary. The latter in close consultation with the Royal Library in The Hague.
An accurate report is drawn up of all restorations.
